In emulsion coating formulation, HEC prevents the gelation of pigments and enhances their dispersion, while ensuring the stability of latex and improving the overall viscosity. It has excellent compatibility with other materials, such as pigments, auxiliaries, fillers and salts. Coatings thickened with HEC offer high rheological properties and pseudoplasticity across various shear rates, making them easy to apply with good leveling. Whether applied via brushing, roller coating or spraying, the resulting coatings is resistant to dripping, sagging or spattering.
